Just Hanging Out

Some of the best moments to catch are the ones where the kids are just having fun together.

Leah and Claire were playing together in the play kitchen.

Lucas's Preschool Graduation/Blessing

Time flies by in a flash. It seems like Lucas just started preschool. As part of their year end activities, they have a chapel blessings. All of the kids walk in with a flower.

They sit up front and sing cute songs that are a bit sappy - to draw out the tears.

Lucas's Last Spring Tea

Each year at Lucas's preschool, they have a spring tea. The kids make the bread and shine the silver. They perform their songs that they have practiced the entire year.

There is always a rousing rendition of "Take me out to the Ball Game!"

Jeff and I were sitting waiting for the Tea to start and we noticed a graph of the class's Jelly Bean choices. We couldn't find Lucas's choice.

Then we noticed a small tag at the bottom.

At least he isn't swayed by others.

Playing Hooky!

Somehow we found ourselves kidless for the weekend. We decided to head over to the beach to play with Duke in the waves. Because we adopted him, we had never seen him in the ocean.

They don't call labs water dogs for nothing!

Happy Hollow for Kylie's Birthday

Happy Hollow is a little zoo that the younger kids love to go to. Kylie's birthday was there right after it went under a major renovation.

The new bronze animals in the entry way were a big hit. I thought we were never going to get them to enter.

We had to go on the cars before we left.

We needed a stroller to carry the presents but the kids were always trying to ride in it. Lucas and the birthday girl are having a moment together.

Lucas - just hanging out!

Easter 2010

The Easter Egg Hunt was at our house this year. The weather wasn't great so we had it inside. The Anderson tradition is that each egg is worth one point. The "Bobpa" egg is worth 2 points and since Grandpa Schultz was at the egg hunt, we had a "G-pa" egg that was also worth 2 points.

Claire found an egg. Of course, it matched her dress.

Leah was wandering around looking for the last few eggs.

Grandma had to encourage Jared to do the right thing and not trample his siblings in order to get the most eggs.

Lucas always has a good time.

Jared found the G-pa and Bobpa eggs. It wasn't much of a contest.

Claire just wanted to eat the candy.

They are so cute when they are getting along!

Grandpa and Grandma - they got in the spirit of hiding the eggs.

Bobpa's egg is always the last one that we find. It always requires a hint.

The kids with their loot!
