Easter

We love living by family. For most holidays, the kids get to see my parents and Jeff's, along with cousins. This Easter was no different. Of course, the kids also love Easter because of the candy.

We always make sure to focus on the importance and the miracle of Christ's resurrection. We had a great Family Home Evening on Saturday and watched the animated story of Easter Sunday morning. Of course, the Easter Bunny came and brought and new flip-flops for the pool this summer.

I have fun dressing the kids in their Easter best for church. Leah had a special treat and was able to go to Grandma and Grandpa Schultz's cabin Easter afternoon.

We had an Easter egg hunt at Josh and Kerry's on Saturday. The Anderson boys were always VERY competitive with the hunt (like everything else) and this is being passed on to their kids. Each egg is worth one point, if you get the egg with your own name it is worth 2 points and the egg with "Bob" on it is worth 3 points.

Kylie had a lot of eggs in her basket and I asked her if her mom helped her or if she was just smoking (i.e., fast). She replied in her two-year-old voice, "I just smokin'." Kids are great.

Jared found the Bob egg and won the Easter Egg hunt, despite the fact that the little kids got a head start. (See any resemblance between these two?)
