Three Down, One to Go

Lucas is three and we know it is time for the diapers to go. This is a day I look forward to because I finally get rid of the diapers, but I don't enjoy this process. We have a method that we like called "Potty Training in a Day." It works pretty well but it is a test of wills. For being a mellow kid, he was sure stubborn about using the potty.

After lots of chocolate milk, it finally happened!

Lucas's Thomas Birthday

We asked Lucas what kind of party he wanted. Of course the answer was, "Thomas!" We went to Oak Meadow Park with all of Lucas's friends to eat sandwiches and cake and ride the train.

Waiting for the train to come: Garrett, Kasey, Kylie, Sidney, Leah, Jared, Claire and Marcus.

It was so fun to watch his face while we were riding the train. He LOVES trains!

The Thomas Cake!

The Thomas loot was a little overwhelming! Lucas could hardly wait to dig in. When he opened the first Thomas gift, he was ready to be done and play with that toy. They just kept coming.

Lucas's 3rd Birthday (at home)

Lucas is a wonderful boy. He charms everyone that he meets and his mellow cuddly personality warms everyone's heart. His brother and sisters love him dearly and he is often a calming influence in the storm of his siblings.

He loves playing with his Thomas trains. To this point, all of them had been hand-me-downs from Jared.

He had been asking for Thomas' coaches, Annie and Clarabel. Lucas was very excited about this addition to his friends.

He also got a round house for his trains to live in. Lucas can often be found laying on his side playing with his trains for hours.
